Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word file format.
  • The Manuscript has been prepared as per Author Guidelines for this Journal.
  • The Cover Letter has been prepared as per template and will be uploaded in step 2 of the submission process.

Manuscripts preparation

Kindly pay proper attention to this sections which describe article structure, layout and referencing. The whole paper must be prepared using double spacing, Times New Roman font. You may download word template for manuscript preparation by clicking here.

Cover letter

All submissions must include a cover letter in a separate word/pdf file that includes:

  • A set of declaration from the corresponding author on the behalf of all co-author(s).
  • An explanation of suitability of the article in this journal in the view of journal’s aims and scope.
  • Highlights that convey the core findings of the article in 3-6 bullet points. (maximum 90 characters per bullet point including spaces)
  • Suggestion of 3-6 suitable potential referees. Referees should be selected from institutions other than those where the author(s) work.

Article structure

Subdivision - numbered sections: Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1.1 (then 1.1.1, 1.1.2, ...), 1.2, etc. (the abstract is not included in section numbering). Use this numbering also for internal cross-referencing: do not just refer to 'the text'. Any subsection may be given a brief heading. Each heading should appear on its own separate line.

Title page information

Paper title: Concise and informative using Bold, 16 points, Times New Roman font. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.

Note: If any author is a Bachelor/Master Degree student, Kindly submit your article to Advanced Journal of Graduate Research. In this Journal we are not accepting article which includes Bachelor/Master students as a co-author.

Affiliation: Present the authors' affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done and current affiliation if different than workplace). Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name.

Corresponding Author: Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that the e-mail address is given and that contact details are kept up to date by the corresponding author.

Abstract

The manuscript should contain an abstract. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. The abstract should be self-contained and citation-free and should not exceed 300 words. Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself.

Keywords

Immediately after the abstract, provide at least 6 keywords related to your work. These keywords will be used for indexing purpose.
Effective Keywords include phrases that may not appear in the title and abstract but link the work to wider field of research.

Introduction

This section should be succinct, with no subheadings. State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

Materials and Methods

This part should contain sufficient detail to reproduce reported data. It can be divided into subsections if several methods are described. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.

Theory/calculation

A Theory section should extend, not repeat, the background to the article already dealt with in the Introduction and lay the foundation for further work. In contrast, a Calculation section represents a practical development from a theoretical basis.

Results and Discussion

This section may each be divided by subheadings or may be combined. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. This should explore the significance of the results of the work, don’t repeat them. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.

Conclusions

This section should clearly explain the main conclusions of the work, highlighting its importance and relevance.

Acknowledgments

All acknowledgments (if any) should be included in a separate section before the references and may include list of peoples who contributed to the work in the manuscript but not listed in the author list, supporting grants, presentations, and so forth. The name of funding agencies should be written in full.

References

Author(s) are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is complete and accurate. All references must be numbered consecutively and citations of references in text should be identified using numbers in square brackets (e.g., “as explained by AIJR [1]”; “as discussed in many reports [2]-[6]”). All references should be cited within the text; otherwise, these references will be automatically removed. All cited references should be listed after acknowledgment section in IEEE style with doi or URL (link). For example -

Main features of citation style are given as-

  • The author name format is, "first name (Initial), middle name (Initial) and last name". This differs from other styles where author's last name is first.
  • The title of an article (or chapter, conference paper, patent, etc.) is in quotation marks.
  • The title of the book or journal is in italics.

Preparation of Figures

Upon submission of an article, authors are supposed to include all figures and tables at appropriate place in the manuscript. Figures and tables should not be submitted in separate files. If the article is accepted, authors will be asked to provide separate files of the figures. All figures should be cited in the paper in a consecutive order. Figures should be supplied in bitmap formats (Photoshop, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc.). Bitmap images should be of 500 dpi resolution at least unless the resolution is intentionally set to a lower level for scientific reasons. If a bitmap image has labels, the image and labels should be embedded in separate layers.

Preparation of Tables

Tables should be cited consecutively in the text. Every table must have a descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be included in the column heading.

Supplementary files

Advanced Nano Research accepts supplementary files to be published online along with an article. This feature can add dimension to the author’s article, as certain information cannot be added in the main article or more appropriate as supplementary information.
For each supplementary files kindly supply a concise caption describing the content of the file. Supplementary files will be published as received from the author without any conversion, editing or reforming.

Human and Animal Rights
If the work involves the use of human/animal subjects, each manuscript should contain the following set of the declaration at the end of the manuscript-

Declaration:

Acknowledgments: (If not applicable write, none)
Study limitation: (Write none, if no known limitation exists) 
Ethical Approval: (Provide ethical approval authority name with the reference number. If not required, provide an ethical exemption letter of not required). The author should upload scan copy of the ethical approval/exemption letter during manuscript submission.
Informed consent: (Write a statement of informed consent taken from the patient for this study). The editor may ask to upload scan copy if required.
Funding source: (If no funding source exist, write, none)
Competing interests: (Declare any potential conflict of interest exist)

The names, affiliation, email addresses and other personal information provided to us and/or collected by us will be stored and used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. In scholarly publishing, data concerning the authors, editors, reviewers, and others involved in the editorial and publishing process remains necessary for the purposes of the journal. We retain a historical record of the process involved in reviewing, editing, and publishing the manuscript according to best publishing practice. This does not apply to someone solely registered as a “reader” with us, the users with only reader role may request to delete all their data completely from the journal.
